When John from Absolute Clean Air came to clean my dryer vent, he moved the dryer away from the wall (which the national repairman had failed to do) and discovered that the vent attachment had come loose and that the lint was venting onto my laundry room floor. Unlike the old technique, that looks like an oversized shop vac hose with a rotating round brush on the end- that setup is called a Rotobrush. It can poke holes in the walls when they try to force it thru the system. Plus, it doesn't get all the dust & lint off & out like the agitator system will, that also uses high pressure to pull every bit of buildup out. We are very impressed with the results, but something else happened, that caught us off guard: before the cleaning, the temperature was set to around 73 degrees. Now that it is completely cleaned out, the thermostat had to be turned up to 74 degrees (but could be put as high as 75), because the air coming out is ICE COLD! It is obvious that we will save money on the electric bill... It will pay for itself in savings, but also extend the life of the ac unit! The staff was very courteous- they used blankets to cover any furniture underneath vents & they vacuumed those areas after completing the job. The job also included having the dryer vent cleaned to the roof & replacement of the flexible hose going to the dryer. We were told that there was a large amount of buildup of lint in the dryer vent system- but now it is cleared, any danger of the air flow is being cut off has been eliminated & any chance of a fire has been alleviated... Now the dryer will work more efficiently, also saving money on the electric bill. Plus, the amount of time it takes to dry a full load will go down. I would DEFINITELY recommend this company!"
